  IWCR hosts a weekly crafting meetup where our members come together to work on their latest knitting/crocheting/needlepoint projects and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.  This is also an opportunity to explore new cafes around Riga too! There is no RSVP and no requirement to attend regularly.  Just come when you can and enjoy a morning together.

• Riga Ghetto Museum Guided Tour in English

  You are invited to join IWCR Members for a guided tour in English of the Riga Ghetto and Holocaust in Latvia Museum.  This museum is a window into the story of the Riga Ghetto, the Holocaust in Latvia, and the Jewish life in Latvia before the Holocaust.  The museum strives to preserve the lessons of the past and help the world progress to a future filled with more kindness, compassion, and tolerance.  The Riga Ghetto Museum is located in the Maskavas Vorstadt district and is within walking distance of the center of Riga.  A large part of the museum consists of outdoor exhibits. Please dress accordingly.  
  
  Notes:
  -Cost: 5€/Adult and 3€/Student and Pensioner (purchase at the museum)
  -The cost of the tour guide will be covered by IWCR
  -Maximum Tour Size: 15
  -Priority to IWCR Members, Guests can attend
  -Wear clothes appropriate for the weather as some of the tour may be conducted outside

• St. Saviour's Soup Kitchen

  Join IWCR for a volunteer shift at the St. Saviour's Anglican Church Soup Kitchen, one of our IWCR financially-supported charities.  St. Saviour's Anglican Church Kitchen operates weekly on Saturdays to provide soup, bread, porridge and fruit for 90 to 150 community members in need. 
  
  Notes:
  -Wear casual clothing that you can easily wash if any soup/food spills 
  -Spouses and children (ages 10+) are welcome to volunteer with you
  -Consider bringing a canned soup or oatmeal donation to the Soup Kitchen

  IWCR's President hosts a 1st Thursday of the Month President's Happy Hour at the cozy and intimate, Vinojam Wine Bar.  This is an excellent opportunity to unwind, socialize, and connect with fellow members in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.  Bring a friend - especially a friend who might want to join IWCR!  Spouses/dates are welcome too!  You can order by the glass or share a bottle.  We look forward to seeing you there and making wonderful memories together!
