The Executive Board of the IWCR is elected every year at the Annual General Meeting.  They volunteer their time to lead the organization with vision in pursuit of the mission of the organization. 






Board President

Amanda Banister is a dedicated nonprofit leader. Her educational background includes two bachelor’s degrees from Southern Methodist University and a Master's in Public Service and Administration from Texas A&M University.

As founder and CEO of her own charity, Lighthouse Transitional Care, Amanda leads her organization with strategic vision, creativity, and a passion for making a lasting difference. Driven by a desire to create lasting change, Amanda is a gifted relationship builder and uses her skills to connect with and empower others. She is actively involved in various associations and organizations. She volunteers as the President of the International Women's Club of Riga, is an advisory Board member to the Salvation Army in Latvia, a member of the Christian Alliance for Orphans, a consultant to small nonprofits trying to establish themselves in the sector, and a mentor to youth who have aged out of foster care.

Beyond her professional life, Amanda enjoys illustration, animation, design, and drinking coffee.



Board Vice President

Maria Krumiņa's role is to support the President in her duties and assist in overseeing all club activities, including coordination with legal entities.





Board Secretary

As the Secretary, Mary-Anne Sauvé is in charge of the correspondence of the club. She prepares the agenda and takes the minutes for the Board meetings, and maintains all non-financial records for the Board. She also maintains the information about who is responsible for the different activity groups.




Board Treasurer

Brittany Conlin maintains financial records for the club. She manages the bank account, monitors payments, and ensures the processing and payment of all receipts. She leads the end-of-year reporting compliance and assists the Board with best financial practices.





Charity Director

Julia Pesnia leads the activities of the IWCR Charity Committee. is in charge of the Club’s charity activities. With the assistance of the Charity committee, she evaluates requests for assistance from local charities and prepares the annual charity budget for the Executive Board’s approval. She purchases items authorised by the Board and arranges for their delivery; and she maintains all records of interactions with supported charities. She reports on charitable activities to the membership.
