The International Women’s Club of Riga Christmas Charity Bazaar raised more than €48,000 in support of Latvian charities

On November 23, 2025, the Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel hosted the 27th Annual International Christmas Charity Bazaar organized by the International Women’s Club of Riga (IWCR). It attracted several thousand visitors once again this year and became a true celebration of charity, cultural diversity and togetherness.

Thirty-one embassies participated in the fair, organizing national stands, offering donations for auction and tombola, and contributing to a colorful stage program. The event was attended by representatives from Japan, Slovakia, Sweden, Estonia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Canada, France, Slovenia, Poland, Finland, China, Hungary, the United States, Italy, Azerbaijan, Israel, Lithuania, Germany, Great Britain, Turkey, Spain, Georgia, Denmark, Ukraine, India, Austria, the Czech Republic, South Korea, Ireland, and Norway.

This year, the market was particularly impressive in terms of gastronomy – the national cuisine offerings became a real journey of flavors. The BEREC office, a longstanding event partner, hosted an elegant photo corner and a themed drinks bar, which served as the central meeting place at the fair. Without BEREC, the online auction wouldn’t have been such a success. Visitors were immersed in a festive atmosphere, cultivated by performances from international school students and other artists.

Visitors went home with arms filled by lovely gifts, and hearts full of joy. €48,260.78 was raised this year, an increase of €10,000 more than last year. This income exceeds the market’s original revenue target significantly.

All proceeds from the market will support projects run by Latvian charitable organizations. Visitors to the market had the opportunity to learn about 13 of these organizations who had their own fundraising stalls at the event. The deadline for submitting project applications has now passed, and the projects that will receive funding will be announced in January 2026.

The International Women’s Club of Riga (IWCR) is an international association that has united 140 women from 30 countries. IWCR supports local charities both financially and materially. Throughout the year, funds are collected and support is provided to families, mothers, the elderly and people in difficulty in Riga and elsewhere in Latvia.

The International Christmas Market is held every year. Funds raised are returned to the local community through various Latvian charity organizations.
