This Sunday – the 27th Christmas Charity Bazaar organized by the International Women’s Club of Riga

Blend intercultural experiences, holiday gift shopping, and heartfelt charity at a beloved annual event of Riga residents and the international community in Latvia — the International Women’s Club of Riga (IWCR) Christmas Charity Bazaar, on Sunday, November 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Radisson Blu Latvia Conference & Spa Hotel.

This year marks the 27th edition of the market, bringing together 28 foreign embassies, which will offer traditional foods, beverages and unique gifts from their countries. Visitors will be able to purchase rare seasonal delicacies, design items, beauty products, toys and other specially prepared surprises that cannot be found in other stores in Latvia.

Extensive auction program — unique items and one-time experiences

During the event, there will be a live auction led by world-famous magicians Enrico and Dace Pezzolli. Original works of art, special gastronomic experiences in Riga restaurants and hotels, a coffee machine with capsules, Danish design chairs with a coffee table, and other valuable items will be auctioned off.

A silent auction will also take place. Participants can bid in writing without knowing the amounts offered by others. The highest bid will determine the winner.

Simultaneously, an online auction will begin at https://auction.iwcr.lv/, offering an even wider range of gifts — from individually crafted Advent wreaths and exquisite design items to paintings and airline tickets.

Payments can be made in cash or by payment card.

The Charity Bazaar — a gift to Latvia from the international community

This Charity Bazaar is more than just an event. It brings together different countries, cultures, and people in their belief in miracles and a better future. Every purchase and donation provides real help to the people of Latvia — families, children, seniors, and anyone else who needs support.

All proceeds from the market will be donated to 17 Latvian charity organizations to fund their projects, including:

– Rūpju bērns / Cerību tilts,

– Children’s Hospital Fund,

– Tavi draugi,

– Children’s Palliative Care Association,

– Cerība bērniem,

– Latvian Cystic Fibrosis Association,

– MARTA Resource Center,

– Latvian Foster Family Association,

– Lighthouse Transitional Care,

– Mother Teresa’s Mission,

– Papardes zieds,

– Pink Train,

– Riga Milk Mix Project,

– Ronald McDonald House Charities “Care Mobile”,

– Riga Anglican Church Soup Kitchen,

– Salvation Army Refugee Center,

– Latvian SOS Children’s Villages Association.

A spectacular stage program and activities for the whole family

The visitors will be entertained by a variety of performances:

– Jelgava region youth big band,

– flamenco dancing,

– an Indian dance group,

– a performance by Elīna Beļinska,

– an impressive Chinese lion dance,

– performances by students from international schools.

The children’s corner will feature creative activities, as well as a visit from Santa Claus himself.

ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S CLUB OF RIGA (IWCR)

The International Women’s Club of Riga (IWCR) is an international association that has united 120 women from 30 countries. IWCR supports local charities both financially and materially. Throughout the year, funds are collected and support is provided to families, mothers, the elderly and people in difficulty in Riga and elsewhere in Latvia.

The International Christmas Market is held every year. Funds raised are returned to the local community through various Latvian charity organizations. In 2024, during this event, more than 37,000 EUR were collected for the needs of local charities.
