A 30-minute drive out into the countryside brought us to Olaine. The club was invited to a picnic by the charitable organization, Betlemes Maja. They run a facility for people trying to overcome addiction.
It was several hours of looking around the property, planting flowers, and spending time with the ‘clients’ and runners of the organization. At the end of the day, we brought with us not only organic vegetables (and free range eggs) but also the willingness and desire to reach out more. Thanks to the charity committee for organizing and to Beltelmes Maja for always welcoming the club. Also, a big thank you for the lovely lunch!
