Dear Ladies,
One of our club members Linda Hoeben is inviting us to take part in her workshop.
This workshop will be about intercultural communication. The essence of intercultural communication is to develop an attitude of both openness toward the other and curiosity for her story.
With an equal respect for your own values and the values of the other, you can create a dialogue. Wanting to understand the other becomes more important than being understood.
We’ll talk about the concept of a ‘Frame of Reference’, the frame from which we interpret reality and on which we base our thinking, feeling and behaviours.
You’ll get the opportunity to reflect on your own frame of reference and talk to others about theirs.
Linda has lived in various places and is trained as a social worker, criminologist and psychotherapist.
