AGM reminder – 14th March 2018 – International Women's Club of Riga

Dear IWCR members,

It’s a friendly reminder of our IWCR Annual General Meeting which will be held on Wednesday 14^th March 2018 in the meeting room of the Radisson Blu Daugava Hotel. Registration and coffee will begin at 10.00 am and AGM will start at 10.30 am. We will then have lunch in the restaurant at 12.30 pm for those of you who are able to stay a little longer. A separate lunch invitation and request to sign up will be sent out at a later date.

Important!

In order for us to be able to take decisions about new board members or any other matter, we need to have a quorum of at least 1/3 of the members, including a proxy from members unable to attend. Please let us know if you plan to attend before March 12th. If you are unable to attend, please sign the attached proxy vote and send it as soon as possible to board.iwcr@gmail.com

The main purpose of the AGM is, most importantly, to elect members to the IWCR Executive Board and to report on the past year’s activities. We will also present our activities and finances for the previous year.

Executive Board:

Tina Nordqvist – President – will step down

Mieke Langenberg-Tissot Van Patot– Vice President – will step down

Eva Tsakiroglou – Treasurer- will continue

Julia Pesnia – Secretary – will continue

Vera Boisson – Charity Coordinator – will step down

Advisory Board: (Will be selected by the Executive Board later)

Vija Pugule – Social & Tours Coordinator – will continue

Jingky Lowe – PR Coordinator– will step down

Jenai Girvics – Membership Coordinator– will step down

Maria Nesterova – Lunch Coordinator– will continue

Urszula Gawska-Kartashov – Website Coordinator – will continue

We are also looking for members to join our PR and Charity committees.

So if you are interested in any of the positions, you are more than welcome to volunteer! Please, feel free to talk to any board member if you have any questions during Meet & Greet in March or during any other activity when we’re together.
