The goals of the International Women’s Club of Riga are two-fold. We provide a social network of activities for our members and we support 14 local charities focused on women and children in Latvia. The Club has one major fundraiser each year and several smaller events that support the Club and our charities.

As a member of the IWCR you will be part of a strong, international and caring community.
- We look forward to meeting you at our monthly Morning Meet & Greet sessions. During the morning sessions members will receive updates from the board, learn about the various social groups and activities, and will be provided with insights of the charity work. When: every 1st Friday of the month at 10:00am.
- Every 2nd Wednesday of the month we meet for the Evening Meet & Greet for Networking.
- Members benefit from our various activities throughout the year like conversation groups, social tours, workshops, and lunches.
- Members are invited monthly to the IWCR Luncheons hosted in a variety of sophisticated restaurants with creative cuisine.
- Our members often get involved in the club arranged charity work, and give back to the local Latvian community.
- Vote for the Executive Board and attend the Annual General Meeting or stand for election to the Board.
- Participate in a wide variety of social, networking, and charitable activities and join any of our Activity Groups or start your own!
- Receive the membership directory and preferred membership prices at IWCR lunches and other events.
How to join IWCR
You are interested to become an active member, to support our important charity work and you like to join our social & activity groups. The members of the IWCR are pleased to welcome you. Join us at any of the Meet & Greet Meetings and meet us. We are more than happy to introduce you to the IWCR and our work.

To become an active member, please fill in the application form and send it to our Membership Coordinator. Our Membership Coordinator will forward the application to the Executive Board, which needs to approve it.

Membership
We welcome every nationality and we are proud of the various nations we unite. Our aim is to develop a close relationship with the local culture and community, so we have established in our constitution that 15% of our members are Latvian. Please let our Membership Coordinator know which nationalities and passports you hold.
Our membership year runs from September 1st of each year until August 31st of the following year. Membership is valid after approval by the Board, and the payment of the membership fee is settled.
Full Membership
- A full year’s membership EUR 40 per member.
- 3-year-membership: we offer you a (delete 10%) discount, the membership fee for three years is EUR 100 Euro (instead of EUR 120).
- Please make payment online directly to the IWCR bank account or in cash at one of our events
- All Full Members have access to all the social and charity activities and events organised by IWCR, including attending the AGM, voting for Board Members and standing for election to the Board.
Friends of IWCR
For anyone wanting to support IWCR, but does not want to become a Full Member or is unable to do so due to the wait-list (e.g. Latvian nationals), we invite them to join us as a Friend of IWCR. The application and approval process is exactly the same as a Full Member:
- We ask for a donation of EUR 40 per year.
- Please make payment online directly to the IWCR bank account or in cash at one of our events.
- All Friends of IWCR have access to all the social and charity activities and events organised by IWCR, including attending the AGM (Friends are not able to vote for Board Members or stand for election to the Board).
