The goals of the International Women’s Club of Riga are two-fold.  We provide a social network of activities for our members AND we support a number of local charities focused on women and children in Latvia.  The Club has one major fundraiser each year and several smaller events that support the Club and our charities. 

Our membership year runs from 1st June 2011 - 31st May 2012.

Sign up now and you will pay just 15 LVL to enjoy full benefits of IWCR membership through until 31st May 2012.

A full year's membership costs 30 LVL (new year starts 1st June 2012.)

Don't forget that if you pay for 3 years membership now, you get a discount of 10%; pay 81 Lats now instead of 90 Lats over 3 years.

How to become a member of the IWCR

1. Fill in the application form downloadable from above.
2. Pay the membership fee.
The Executive Board must approve your application.
 

How much is the membership fee?

The membership fee is 30LVL per year or discounted by 10% for paying 3 years in advance. The membership year runs from 1st June to 31st May. Memberships are discounted to 15 LVL for the three months prior to the end of the membership year.

 

How to pay?

The fee should be paid directly into the IWCR bank account. Click here for details.

 

Under 'details' please write your name and 'membership'.

 

(Fees may also be paid in cash to the Membership Chairperson, but we prefer bank payment please).

 

As a member you will receive the following:

 

• a membership card which entitles you to discounts from selected local shops, services, and restaurants 
• the membership directory
• member's prices at IWCR lunches and other events 

You will be able to:

• attend Meet & Greet sessions, each first Wednesday of the month held at the ALBERT HOTEL, Dzirnavu iela, Riga at 10am
• attend the monthly lunch hosted in a variety of great restaurants
• participate in Potluck lunches, which take place at Member's homes, on occasion throughout the year
• vote at the annual elections
• stand for election to the Board
• participate in a wide variety of social, networking, and charitable activities
• Join any of our Activity Groups - or perhaps even start your own!
   

Membership Renewal
Existing members are requested to pay their annual fee before the end of May to avoid any interruption in membership privileges. We ask that you kindly make payments online whenever possible (otherwise payment can be made to the Membership Chairperson).

 

Membership is only valid after approval by the Board, and if you have a receipt stating that the IWCR has received your payment.

 

Please note:  According to the terms of our Constitution, IWCR membership is limited to 15% local nationals. If you carry only a Latvian passport, our Membership Chairperson will advise you whether or not we can process your application immediately.  We will add you to a waiting list if that is necessary. We advise Latvian citizens to contact our Membership Chairperson before paying the membership dues. Existing Latvian members are however invited to renew their memberships.
