An enjoyable evening was spent by IWCR members and friends at the first International Wine Tasting event in November.  We raised 90 Lats to purchase blankets for Hope for Children.

The event, warmly hosted by ‘Boulangerie Bonjour’, provided tastings of several red, white and sparkling wines from the Alsace, Bordeaux and Corbieres regions of France. Boulangerie Bonjour also provided delicious savoury and sweet snacks to complement the wines on offer, as no self-respecting Frenchman would consider tasting wine without an appropriate canape, or so we were told by Gilles!

We would like to express our thanks to Gilles and his efficient, friendly staff and would recommend members to experience a taste of France anytime you are passing his door.
