Take a look at the picture gallery.... more » A 'Sight for Sore Eyes - thanks to Optica Italiana We are very grateful to Optica Italiana for their help in providing 9 children from the Teika Orphanage with new glasses! more » Teika Orphanage - can you spare a few hours? more » Teika Orphanage: Musical Interlude Ilona Meija (Flute) and Lauma Pruse (Piano), musicians from Riga's Academy treated 25 youngsters from Teika Orphanage to a concert of classical music on 26 August. Our grateful thanks to the performers, who kindly donated their honorarium to the orphanage, towards the purchase of more musical instruments. Janis,from Teika, also sang two lovely songs - accompanied on percussion by Caspers. and Rolands Arranged by IWCR Member Liz Heatheringto from the Canadian Embassy, this musical interlude was thoroughly enjoyed by the students and a number of IWCR Members, who were enthusiastic in their applause! In 2009 we supported Missionaries of Charity soup kitchen, Hope for Children, Chabad Soup Kitchen, Vitolu Fonds, Marta, and several other groups.
