On 27th February, the Board is organizing an IWCR Entrepreneurs' Showcase at the Radisson Blu Daugava. At this event, Members of our Club can present their 'out-of-club' activities to other members of the club and their guests.  This may be paintings, bags and hand-made jewellery, to presentations of small businesses, such as yoga classes or restaurants.

The LNMM has created a special Open Day Event, which forms part of the LNMA's Ambassadors Programme, exclusively for Members of the IWCR. 

This takes place on Tuesday, 31st January, at the Art Museum Riga Bourse, Dome 6 Square, Riga.

If you would like to find out more about volunteering opportunities, within the Latvian Museum service, the Ambassadors Programme at the LNMA and the Budapest Museum of Fine Art, you are invited to participate.

There will also be an opportunity to enjoy a special guided tour and creative workshop in the Museum exhibition, followed by discussions over a glass of wine with museum specialists and volunteers. (You must book your place by 25th Jan.)

A very special concert took place on 10 January at Teika Orphanage.  Students and staff entertained a large number of IWCR Members with festive songs, accompanied by lively percussion, by way of thanks for our support throughout 2011.

Forty five young people from Tukums had a great day out at McDonalds and Cinamon Kino, organised by the IWCR Charity Committee, in cooperation with our partners, RMHC Latvija and Cinamon Kino.  Here are all the details....

It's official!  The15th International Christmas Bazaar 2011 broke all records, in terms of both attendance - which ran to several thousands - AND monies raised, which was 20,700 LVL. This money will be used to continue and increase the charity work of the IWCR in Latvia throughout 2012.

The 2010 Bazaar raised 14,000 LVL so the latest charity fundraiser represents a 40% increase.  The new location in Riga Town Hall and support from Riga City Council were major contributing factors.  So too was the combined support from Riga's Diplomatic and business communities, schools, media outlets, IWCR Members and friends.
